The odd woman out

Would be me actually. :-S

It seems that I, in my blogging efforts, have completely missed the fact that there is a lively perfumista scene here in Croatia, thriving through different fora, mostly the ‘local’ version of Fragrantica (

And if it weren’t for my decision to sell some of the perfumes from my (unfortunately still growing) collection, I would still be unaware of this fact.

I met another of those lovely perfumistas today and realized she actually knows all the other people I meet through these sites rather well. It is only I who is meeting everyone just now (or in the last year).
Well better now than never. 😉

And I’m loving it!

(I hope that didn’t sound like the McDonald’s commercial…)

Fun fun. The community is so international so it must be great to find a local development that sounds well developed.

      Yes, it is great. 🙂
And true to the perfumista world, they are all such lovely people.

I was aware of punmiris and am not surprised there is a vibrant fumie community on your doorstep. Why wouldn’t there be in every country, when you think of it? Enjoy your newfound friends!

Now that I’m aware of it, it seems kind of obvious to me too. 🙂

Ines, I think it’s sometimes easy to miss the thing that is right under our nose (because we’re usually looking out on the horizon). 🙂

Did you meet some of them at the Maurice Roucel talk that you went to?

    • Ines July 22, 2013 at 10:22 Reply

That would be very true for me.
I just met one at M. Roucel’s talk, the others there were the ones I already knew. We went there as a little group. 🙂

How fantastic! Isn’t that always the case that things like that are right under our noses and we don’t see them? Glad to hear that you have found a local community!

Yep, that seems to be the case with me. All the time I’m afraid. Oh well, at least I get there eventually… 😉
