or how I watched Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
Honestly, I didn’t think it would be a movie that would spur me to write. But that’s the beauty of life, it surprises you. Well, it’s beauty if you like surprises. π Which I do.

Which is also what happened yesterday (surprise). π I heard about the movie some time ago and was very prejudiced (hehe) because I love that story and putting zombies into it did not seem like a good idea.
Boy was I wrong!
I’ve been promoting the movie to everyone ever since I watched it, and the question I get is whether it’s a parody. I have no idea what genre this movie is. π Not a parody.
Now I’m wondering if anyone else has seen it and what do you think of it? And if you haven’t seen it, do you think you might? Please try. π
Btw, I actually thought when I wrote again it would be to show some summer/sea photos. I’ll just add some from this weekend now. π

Hi Ines
You’ve convinced me to give it a try!
It doesn’t seem to be available for free over here on any of my many streaming platforms but maybe I’ll rent it for Halloween.

Hello-hello-hello! Look whoβs walking (not dead)! π
My vSO read the book and, I donβt remember if he liked it (horror everything is his thing, so even if he did, it wouldnβt tell me whether I would like it), but I thought that the cover was great. Maybe we should watch the movie for Halloween, same as Tara?
To come back to writing [more], try posting something once a week – even if itβs just a picture and βHiβ to the world.

It’s been so long I can’t even reply properly anymore. π Replied to Tara under your comment.
Hello! π
That’s actually a great idea! Baby steps. That’s something I’m trying to implement in my life more as I have no patience and want results instantly (or sooner than realistically expected).
I do hope you watch the movie and I can’t wait to hear what someone else thinks of it, so far I have no alternative opinion.

Ex-Mr Bonkers loves zombies in all their guises, and told me about the book when it came out, though I haven’t read it, and he was probably waiting for the film too. Such is his love of zombies (and sock monkeys) that I once gave him a custom made “zombie sock monkey”, which is a sight to behold. Is the film gory? Sadly that would rule me out if so. π

I would like to say it’s not gory but then it has zombies in it, and they are by definition gory. π Although it could be much, much worse. I’ve seen a lot of zombie stuff and here they are more a prop for the best love story ever.
Yes, I’m prejudiced like that. π
