Smokvica

The last installment of my vacation series.

You might wonder how I ended up there having said what I did before going on my vacation. But I was there with my ex’s sister (who is a really good friend of mine) and her two girls (and he’s not officially my ex either – what a strange life I lead…).

After the walking I did in Copenhagen and the partying I did on Vis, spending some calm time (as calm as it can be with two young girls) was just the thing.

Smokvica is actually the perfect place if you’re looking for a peaceful, family timeย without many amenities or tourists.

I guess the photos are always the same from there. ๐Ÿ˜‰ (except for the alcohol part)

    Nice!

Btw, I still have the Aura liqueur bottle that you brought to Rome. It occupies one of the shelves in my kitchen where I keep knickknacks, where it looks pretty and reminds me of our trip. โค

Aaaww, I’m so happy to hear that. ๐Ÿ™‚ You can put some other liquor in it (that’s what I plan on doing with mine).
Remembering our time in Rome always makes me happy.

I’ve never seen rose liqueur sold in the U.S.! Does it actually smell/taste of roses?

    Nice pictures. I need a vacation… : -)

Yes, it does! ๐Ÿ™‚ And when you put sparkling wine on it, it has this beautiful rose undertaste and light smell. Wonderful really.
Vacation is always in order. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Wow, I wish I was there too – drinking that fizz to boot! I haven’t had a Kir Royal since I lived in France, where it was quite common. Or back then, say. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I wish I could have one in Paris but until then, making some for myself seems the way to go. ๐Ÿ˜‰
