A new parfum by the famous French shoemaker Repetto

repettoBy perfumer Olivier Polge :

“It is a refined formula which seeks for perfection through authenticity. It is an alliance of emotions: a satin veil which brushes the skin, a body which twirls and arches itself in an infinite grace. It is a musky powdery rose, where the rose is tutu by its dress, quintessence of femininity by its smell, mesmerizing by its beauty  and purity by its authenticity.”

By Repetto:

“A satin rose that the trail twirls to wrap you like an infinite satin ribbon. A graceful and carnal fragrance.”

Top notes: Pear & Cherry blossom

Heart notes: Rose & Orange blossom

Base notes: Vanilla & Amber wood

I love their ballerina flats, I wonder how much will I love this fruity rose…

I was excited when I read this announcement, because I like their flats too! But that note list leaves me cold …

Yes, the list of notes doesn’t sound very promising I’m afraid. We’ll just have to wait and see (smell)…

Love the flats, and the heels too, not so the notes for this fruity floral. I like the idea of a ‘graceful and carnal’ fragrance, since, people seem to forget exactly how much those graceful dancers sweat, but where from those note is carnal supposed to come from?

I was also thinking of the carnal aspect, hoping it would be present. Although again, I am not sure which of the notes might help it like you said.
Glad you mentioned sweating – I think people generally who don’t work out in any manner don’t consider the amount of sweat that comes with it.

I haven’t heard about this brand before; shoes on pictures look nice. As to the perfume, I’m not a fan of Polge and, in general, I do not expect good perfumes from a shoe company.

I have two pairs of their ballerina flats and I love them.
I do however have my doubts when it comes to their perfume…

Chiming in to agree with Asali that those notes don’t sound especially carnal to me either! Now I am a lover of bland as a rule, but somehow I don’t think this is going to satisfy even my modest expectations. I remember how disappointed I was by Valentina, which had a pretty girly vibe too.

Vanessa, I would love it if this perfume could live up to its blurb. Truly I would.
That’s why I’m hoping they put in other notes that would make this perfume more carnal as the list seems a bit weak and short…
