While on the subject of summer and races

In September I went to a race in Umag – a wine race no less and that was the best experience ever as there were stations with food (cheese, prosciutto and cakes) and drinks (wine, water and juice) every 2-3 kilometers. Luckily for me, I didn’t run a half-marathon there because with all that food it would have been rather difficult, but was a part of a team and ran 7km.
Just right to enjoy the offerings… 😉

Running is always fun, but especially among green vineyards on a sunny day. 🙂

There must have been a lot of runners who were tempted just to stay at the food and drink tables and enjoy themselves – I know I would have been:-)
Well done for getting your share of the running over before relaxing! It looks like an idyllic place to visit.

I can’t imagine that I would be able to run while stopping every few kilometers for some wine and nibbles, but in concept, it sounds great — and you do make it look like great fun, Ines! Wonderful photos. 🙂

What a great idea! But say… did you actually have to run? 😉

Well, you can always walk but in any case, you have to get to the stations, they are sprinkled over the countryside. 🙂

A wine race – inspired! As Anna mentioned above, it must be so tempting to pause and get seriously stuck into the refreshments, hehe.

Very tempting! I wish I had more time at each stop, next year I’ll do it in a more leisurely fashion… 🙂
