I noticed I had the same post up last year around this time, when the linden trees were in full bloom, we were experiencing a heat wave and the air was humid and hot and full of the smell of linden blossoms.
The same thing happened this week and all I can say, I breathed it in as deeply as I could and let the smell bring a smile to my face.
I honestly forgot from last year how unbelievably great that smell is. 🙂 So not to repeat much of what I said last year, I will just add, I want to find a perfume that can reproduce it.
I’m wearing Zeta now and although I enjoy that perfume, it is not the smell of humid linden city air…

How did you find AA’s Unter den Linden? Also not what you’re looking for? I find it my perfect linden fragrance 🙂 For even more sultry sweetness there’s a discontinued Aroma Allegoria from Guerlain called ‘apaisant’. I really like Zeta, but agree that’s it’s more linden in the very early stages, not the intoxicating smell you get when they are in full bloom.

You know, I don’t really remember how Unter den Linden smells like. I think I will have to try and find that AA. 🙂

Asali beat me to it! I am speaking from memory only, but that was hands down the best straight up linden I ever smelt. And I just spotted my decant of Apaisant earlier today – I had never tried it, not knowing what it is – but am getting ready to sample it as I speak. 😉
