And we’re back to the world where gods and godlings live alongside humans in the world shaped somewhat anew after what Yeine the Goddess did at the end of Thousand Kingdoms.

1. What do you think so far of Oree Shoth? Do you like her as much as Yeine?
Yes, I like her as much as Yeine. Possibly even more as she seems free, both to do as she pleases and like she has no burdensome limits left from her childhood.
4. Any predictions on who or what could be killing the godlings?
5. For everyone who read the last book, Shiny’s identity should be relatively easy to guess, even though it hasn’t been explicitly stated yet. Do you think his punishment is suiting, or is it too much? Is there any chance he’ll come out of this as a normal person? How do you think Oree will react when she finds out?
Hell no, it’s not too much. And I can see Oree is not eager to make that particular assumption (whether the punishment is too much).
If this doesn’t make him become a normal person/god, nothing will.
How will Oree react? Probably with cool aplomb. 😉 I think she’s no longer too surprised by godling world. I think her drawing might be more of a shock to her than Shiny’s identity.

If it is vengeance, then I wonder why they killed Role? It sounded like she was pretty well liked. I could see Oree not being too surprised about learning Shiny’s identity. She knows he’s some kind of god/godling already, anyway. 🙂

I don’t think it’s vengeance against particular godlings but more towards their parents because they will be the ones hurt the most by those deaths (at least that’s what I believe).
I wonder how far off I am with my guess though. 😉

I’d love to know what Sky Palace is like now that it’s part tree 🙂 And up there they won’t have such a lack of sunlight.
5. I also think Shiny’s getting what he deserves. Oree might not be so shocked to find out who he is given that she’s got her own guilt to worry about, but I also wonder how she’ll feel knowing that he’s the god of the Itempans and the Arameri. Itempas made that authoritarian religious sect, and a dictatorial family that everyone hates.

I see everyone thinks Shiny is getting his due – I do admit I want to see him change into a better person/god but I wonder if it’s going to be possible.
If anyone will be able to do it, I’m putting my hopes into Oree.

I do keep thinking of some of the godlings as humans just with an extra power or two….until one of them does something so completely alien. Like Lil. shudder.
I think Shiny may be quite surprised to find out about Oree’s bit of magic. I woder if Madding has guessed? Should be interesting to find out.

Oh, Lil does sound as alien as she can be. More like a demon than a godling actually.
I believe you are right, Shiny will probably be more surprised of Oree’s magic than she’ll be of his. 🙂
