Spring is here (and hopefully, so am I)

Ok, so spring might not be exactly here, but it’s definitely coming (the sunny day today is rather cold and biting).

We’ve been having sunny days and some rather high temperatures for this time of year but mostly, it’s a slow rise of temperature into real spring.
But spring is definitely here as evidenced by the photo my boyfriend sent me the other day from a large park (partly woods) in Zagreb (Maksimir):

Anyway, I have big plans for this spring and I do hope I make some of them come true (knowing me, some is fine as I tend to plan for more than is actually possible).
One of the plans is another trip to Paris in very late spring (probably summer weather by then) as Suzanne already announced on her site. I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to meeting Suzanne and having fun with her and Asali in Paris. πŸ™‚

I also hope, now that the hectic period is over at work, I’ll be able to write more regularly and sniff more regularly as for the past few weeks all this was on hold.

Happy spring time everyone!

Ines, I so, so can't wait to meet you and Asali in person!Happy early Spring to you. For some reason, your photo of the park in Zagreb isn't showing up in your post. I'll check back later, as I'd love to see it!

Suzanne, thanks for pointing it out, it really wasn't there for some reason (I had problems putting it in). I hope it's visible now.Although, it's more a photo of the soil than the park…

I'm so envious of you three! I hope you'll have great time there. In the country where I grew up weather-wise spring didn't start before late april but for people who lived there March 1st was a first day of Spring. And even though now I live in a country where it officially starts on March 21st and in the area where it never starts (ends? πŸ˜‰ ), almost 15 years later for me Spring still starts on March 1st.

I just hopped over to Suzanne's blog and clocked her fantastic new hair colour. I thought she looked fab as a blonde, but there was also this chic brunette bursting to come out.Anyway, I am glad that spring is finally springing where you are as I know you prefer the warmer weather! That is wonderful about your Paris trip! I bet you will find a ton more stuff to sniff this time round… : – )

Feeling so joyful right now, not only due to the sight of those glorious crocuses (crocii?) but because of the knowledge that you, Asali, and Suzanne have glorious times ahead of you in Paris. Hooray!

Yes, spring! After all that snow we've had a few weeks ago, I thinks it's time for ballet flats πŸ™‚

Undina, I keep wondering what country exactly you grew up in. :)We used to have a true continental climate here in Zagreb but since my childhood it seems to be steadily getting warmer and warmer.Btw, I can't help it – spring starts for me with the beginning of March too. πŸ™‚

Vanessa, I can't say which color I prefer on Suzanne, but the brunette variant looks truly chic on her. :)As for Paris, if you're planning again a business trip sometime around July, please confer with us so we don't miss each other again. πŸ™‚

Thanks Olenska! It's one of the things that are keeping me sane these days – spring (practically early summer) in Paris with fellow perfumistas! Can it get better than that? πŸ˜‰

Ooh, crocuses. Nice! Glad I stopped back. I have a feeling our crocuses are going to be popping up any time now too, as it's very sunny today and the temps are supposed to be in the 60 degrees F. range. :-)(Btw,thank you, ladies, for the hair compliments and the well-wishes for our trip!) ❀

Spring usually starts in mid-February where I live, with crocuses blooming on Valentines Day. What's weird this year is that the daffodils bloomed early and the crocuses were later. Then we had snow on Monday night. It's still hanging on in places despite the fact that today is bright and sunny. A happy spring to you, and best wishes for finding time to write here. I enjoy reading your posts. Ellen

Thank you Tara! :)I think it will be wonderful with the two of them in Paris (and I'm guessing Asali might be coming back from Paris with a new hair-cut…) πŸ˜‰

Ines, I think you're definitely right about hair cut;-) My hair has been growing faster than the crocii (I wonder too about the plural?) on your photo. I'm looking forward to your posts, for the spring finally to arrive for good and of course more than anything to meet up with you and Suzanne in Paris. I think it's fair to promise that we will write a lot about this trip and all the lovely things we are going to sniff:-)

He, he, Asali, my go-to English dictionary says possible plurals for crocus are crocuses, crocus and croci. πŸ˜€ So, you can take your pick. I know I'm probably getting ahead of myself but I'm already thinking the 3 of us could do a turn guest-posting for each other. πŸ™‚
