Comforting thoughts

– In a week from now, my exam flurry will be over.

– Also, by that time, I will have watched the last Harry Potter movie (an extremely happy and comforting thought).

– Only three weeks are left until my 3-week long summer vacation.

– It’s barbecue season.

– Tomatoes finally taste the way they are supposed to.

– Beer tastes better in the summer.

– I might finish my post-graduate studies by the end of the year (finally).

– Short-haired is how I feel best in the summer.

– And one that isn’t comforting (but makes me feel lazily happy) – it’s too hot to exercise and I just can’t do it until temperatures fall back under 30 degrees Celsius.

Wonderful thoughts–I agree with you about the tomatoes and beer, also short hair! And hooray for barbeque season. We like to grill the vegetables from our garden as well as meats: eggplant, peppers, onions. And how about some arugula pesto on penne to go with it? Best of luck (although if one is working hard, what has luck to do with it?) on your exams. Have a wonderful summer!!

Hi queen_cupcake, thank you for the well wishes! I do try and learn as much as I can but I always feel like I should have done more. πŸ™‚ Kind of stupid as experience shows I do enough. We also put a lot of vegetables on barbecue. My boyfriend loves peppers and zucchini, and I'm a huge fan of tomatoes on barbecue. Yummy!Btw, I have no idea what arugula pesto is? But it sounds good. πŸ™‚

I disagree about excercising! Different flavors of yoga should be good when it's that warm. Or stretching. (I'm not sure who I'm trying to persuade πŸ˜‰ )Yey on everything else (but I prefer cold white wine).

Now I have my own comments disappearing on my blog. Anyway, Undina, you had me laughing with your comment (most of the times I need to persuade myself to go for a workout). :)But, I agree with you about stretching, I do mine pilates way as that's something I've been going to for 8 years now and can't do without (I do a little stretching every day when I feel I need it and that includes beach as well). :)The thing is, I was feeling guilty when writing this post as I skipped my zumba class and there is only a week of group programs left so I feel I should profit from that. But I walked home in the heat (33 degrees Celsius) and just felt awful when I got home (see, how I'm trying to defend myself? – still feeling guilty). :)At the risk of sounding like an alcoholic, cold white wine is what I go for in the evenings too.Beer is sort of reserved for daily activities in the heat and barbecues. πŸ™‚

Best of luck with your exams — I still recall very well how they feel… But it is all worth it when they're done.

Thank you Jolanta. :)It's true, once they are done, it's worth it but getting there isn't that easy. :)Soon though…
