My vintage miniatures find

Actually, it’s more the case of them finding me than vice versa. πŸ™‚
Last autumn I decided to try my hand at possibly finding some vintage gems in Croatia so I put an add in the most read add neswpapers here and it keeps re-appearing. I only got two calls so far. One was for a vintage Max Factor Hypnotique with a cat and the other one was a week ago, for two little cabinets containing vintage miniatures gathered over the course of 40 years or so.

Yesterday, I went to check them out. πŸ™‚ As you can probably guiess by now, I’m the proud owner of those 2 cabinets and the 220 miniatures they contain. Yeeeeeeeey!!

I just can’t decribe how happy that makes me feel. πŸ™‚

Here are my (not well taken) photos of them:

I do wish I could take better photos of them – it’s not very visible what’s in there.

These were too big for the cabinets so they came in a bag of their own.

I don’t even know what some of them are but it’s going to be so much fun smelling them, discovering what the ones I’m not familiar with are and talking about them.

Pics are mine.

Rebella, when going to check what this collection looked like and spying miniatures of vintage parfum of Shalimar, Mitsouko and Chanel 5, I knew I had to have it. πŸ™‚ Not much is left of those but quite enough for me to try them. And there are some other vintage parfum concentrations in there…

Thank you Suzanne. I love the fact that the biggest problem I face with this is I don't know where to start. πŸ™‚

Thank you Tara. πŸ™‚ I didn't really think much would come out of my add but if someone calls every 3 months or so (as been happening so far), I'll be happy.

Congratulations! This is fantastic!.. maybe you can use the random number generator (just kidding). Or start with the ones you know and work your way to the ones you don't! How exciting. Maybe I should advertise as well…

Warum, a bit of advertising can't hurt. You never know what little gem might end up in your hands. πŸ˜‰

Thanks Undina. :)I'm sure if the pictures were better you'd recognize more than 10. I for one don't really have an eye for bottles, I usually can't recognize any (but the most obvious ones).

What a haul – and how clever of you to think of placing an ad and seeing what came back!
